Rose Weekend & Summer Garden Show

19-20 June 2010

Find everything to make your garden beautiful at our summer garden show.
 
The Rose Weekend takes its name from the mid-summer weekend  when the roses and summer flowers are in full bloom. The accompanying Garden Show has grown to become one of the most popular in the region.This year's event will be held in the delightful West Garden.
 
Browse the marquees  for delicious foods and drinks, gifts and jewellery, gorgeous clothes and home accessories, plus a wide range of unusual plants, pots and garden furniture. 
 
 
Exhibitors  include: Priorswood Clematis, Home Farm Plants, Park Lace and Linen, Redman Hardy Plants, Waitrose, Chef's Pantry, Cottage China, Anjon Chillis, Newberry's Roses, Fine Things, Stone Green Nurseries, Poachers Pasties, Fry's Teak Furniture, Jan Wilson Art, Little Dye House, Daisy Rock, Westmorland Sheepskins, Silver Roc Jewellery and many others.
 
Meet the team from Codicote Garden Centre, who will be happy to answer your gardening questions and tell you everything about growing your own veg.
  
As part of the event NAFAS, will have a 50th Anniversary Show which this year is themed 'Golden Memories' with demonstrations in the Riding School conference centre throughout the day.
 
Hatfield House will be decorated with roses and summer flowers and there will be music in the House and Garden. Talented young organist Adam Pallister will be playing the 400 year old House organ, and Stevenage Chorus will be singing in the Garden.
 
Botanical artist, Anna Knights will be painting in the Long Gallery. Her fabulous flower pictures were really popular with visitors to the Orchid Show last year and we are delighted to have Anna painting here again.
  
This year, entrance to the Garden Show, West Garden and Park will be
Adults -  £7.00
Seniors - £6.50
Child - £5
 
Opening hours: 10.00 am to 5.00 pm each day.
 
Visitors who would like to see the House should purchase a separate £5 House admission ticket. RHS Members just need to show their membership card to claim 2 tickets to the show for the price of 1!
 
A visit to the Rose Weekend is a lovely day out for a group. Please call the House office for details.
 
Tickets will be available on the gate from 10am to 3pm each day.
