Lady Salisbury’s Annual Coffee Morning - Hatfield House

Lady Salisbury’s Annual Coffee Morning

For the past several years Lady Salisbury has welcomed local residents to join herself and the team at Hatfield for the annual ‘Lady Salisbury Coffee Morning and Garden Preview’. This event is run every year, prior to the public opening, in aid of raising money for local causes including the Breaks Manor Youth & Community Centre and St. Etheldreda’s Church. All of the proceeds from this ever popular event are split equally between these two causes to assist with any projects and maintenance of the local community establishments.

Last year a record breaking £2,275 was raised at the coffee morning. Here are some examples of how your contributions were used…

At Breaks Manor Youth and Community Centre the money raised was used to upgrade and refurbish some of their existing facilities to meet the needs of the growing numbers of the young people and community groups using the local premises. Additionally, following a number of unauthorised intrusions to the site, they used part of the proceeds to install a CCTV system to help secure the Enterprise Hall, which is used extensively by youth club members and community groups alike.

St. Etheldreda’s used your donations to support the continuing West End Project, which aims to introduce new facilities to meet the standards of the 21st century. The ambition is to produce new meeting spaces, toilets, a kitchen, exhibition areas in the hope of enhancing the wonderful building and provide a more comfortable, flexible space for the worshippers, visitors and the local community.
