Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company for this brand-new adaptation of everyone’s favourite swashbuckling pirate adventure: Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. When he stumbles across a coveted treasure map, young Jim Hawkins finds himself on an epic adventure in the hope of finding Treasure Island. But not everyone is to be trusted, and a dark secret is lurking on board the ship… Don’t miss this much-loved story, adapted for stage in among some of the most beautiful open-air venues the UK and Ireland have to offer.

This production is performed in the open air where you are welcome to bring a low back chair and a picnic and spend a glorious summer’s afternoon watching this adventurous story.

UPDATED DETAILS (13/08/2019) – DUE TO WEATHER WARNINGS

INDOOR VENUE

Although this event is advertised as taking place outside whatever the weather, for your comfort we have taken the decision to move The Chapterhouse Theatre production of Treasure Island to the Old Palace tomorrow as weather warnings have been issued! Treasure Island will now take place in The Old Palace which is situated in a different part of the grounds and will require entry through a different gate. Please read below the DIRECTIONS & PARKING section.

The performance will take place inside The Old Palace, a 15th century banqueting hall once belonging to Queen Elizabeth I which still boasts a large amount of the original features – from painting to brickwork. Doors for the performance will open at approximately 1:30pm, with the performance beginning at 2pm. Chairs WILL BE PROVIDED however there is no reserved seating.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

Ticket holders will be need to enter via the main Hatfield House vehicle entrance on the Great North Road A1000 (AL9 5HX) and enter through GEORGE’s GATE to park in the main visitors car park. For a map please click http://www.hatfield-house.co.uk/your-visit/how-to-find-us/

All parking is free of charge.

PICNICS/FOOD

Attendees are still very welcome to bring their own food/picnics as per the original arrangements

Unfortunately with the exception of assistance dogs, dogs will not be permitted into the event site.
