The Estate, under its trading name the Gascoyne Cecil Estates, owns, lets and manages up to 300 residential properties, as well as a commercial and office portfolio, hotels and golf courses and a number of other more unusual properties on both the Hertfordshire and Dorset Estates. Dorset properties are found in or near the village of Cranborne.
The residential properties range in size and type from period farmhouses and Georgian town houses to former estate workers’ cottages, country and Park cottages and modern flats and apartments.
Residential properties are available to rent direct from the Estate on one, two or three year terms although many of the Estate’s tenants have been resident for much longer, renewing their terms every three years.
Old Hatfield is located just a few minutes walk from Hatfield Railway station which serves Cambridge, Peterborough, Welwyn Garden City, and London King Cross Station (fast train 24 minutes). Luton and Stansted Airports can be reached in 30 minutes with London Heathrow some 40 minutes away. Now that the Eurostar runs out of Kings Cross, you could be in Paris within 2 1/2 hours!
We issue Assured Shorthold Tenancies, initially for one year. A credit reference check is undertaken, for which there is a small charge, and we also ask for two months deposit and one months rent in advance.
