Natural regeneration at Hoddesdon Wood

The forestry team have completed two forestry-thinning projects since 2013 and we are delighted to say they are now seeing new ‘free’ young trees developing because of the increased levels of light.

The new trees are establishing well and we can now see in, fir, hornbeam, birch beech and oak among others as we seek to increase species diversity in areas that have existed as monocultures for many decades. #conservation
