28 March @ 11:00 am - 29 March @ 4:00 pm

NGS Gardens Open for charity has been cancelled.

Please visit here for a full update on our current response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Since its foundation in 1927, the National Gardens Scheme has donated over £55 million to nominated beneficiaries.

Once again Hatfield House will be supporting the NGS by opening the Gardens on Saturday 28th March and Sunday 29th March ahead of the official 2020 visitor season. The takings from the day will be split between the National Garden Scheme and a charity of Lady Salisbury’s choosing.

Visitors can enjoy the spring bulbs in the lime walk, sundial garden and view the famous Old Palace garden, childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I. The adjoining woodland garden is at it’s best in spring with masses of naturalised daffodils and bluebells.

Beautifully designed gifts and jewellery and much more can be found in the Stable Yard shops.

All those attending in a vehicle please enter via George’s Gate for our main visitors car park (AL9 5HX) for directions please click here. Parking is free.

Pedestrians will be able to enter on foot or via public transport through our Fore Street Gate, please first approach the gate opposite Hatfield Train Station, here they will be able to direct you to our Fore Street Gate.
