Archives & Collections

Many of the documents at Hatfield House have been here since they were created. We hold documents and collections of local, national and international significance.

Our primary aim is to preserve the papers in our care for the benefit of future generations. The collection is used by the owner and managers of the estate but the records are also made available to suitably qualified researchers. The collection is privately maintained and no public funding is sought or received.

If you have an enquiry please contact us on collections@hatfield-house.co.uk

Amongst the collection the following papers are available for download and research:

Papers of Lady Derby (formerly Marchioness of Salisbury, nee Lady Mary Catherine Sackville-West) (1824-1900)

Papers of Lady Galloway, nee Lady Mary Arabella Arthur Cecil (1850-1903)

Papers of Lord Edward Herbert Gascoyne Cecil (1867-1918)
