Welcome to Chris Hurcomb

Hatfield Park are delighted to welcome Chris Hurcomb to the team. Chris joins us as Head of Operations, leading the team who look after Hatfield House, leisure and hospitality, filming, events and visitor operations.

Bringing a wealth of relevant experience with him, Chris’s background is firmly established as a leader within his field, having carried out comparable roles for one of the well-known Cambridge colleges, and as General Manager of Wimpole Estate, owned by the National Trust, for over 7 years.

Throughout his career, Chris has always chosen to join organisations whose values he shares, and joining Gascoyne Estates is no exception.

“I’m truly delighted and excited to join the team here at Hatfield Park”, commented Chris “It’s an absolute privilege to be part of a significant estate that has been looked after, and managed well for over 400 years, and to be able to help shape what that might look like going forwards is an incredible opportunity.”

A large part of Chris’s remit will be to curate Hatfield Park’s leisure activities, to ensure there is a healthy program of events delivered to the highest standards, thus providing the opportunity for all of the communities that we serve to come and experience Hatfield Park, and everything it has to offer.
