What are your opening times?

Hatfield House – 11am – 5pm – last entry at 4pm

Gardens and Park – 10:30am – 5pm – last entry at 4pm

What are your opening days and dates?

The Gardens, Park & Woodland Walks are open from 30th March until 29th September 2024; Wednesday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays.

The East Garden is open on Wednesdays only.

Hatfield House will re-open on 23rd May 2024 to 8th September; Thursday to Sunday.

Hatfield Park is closed to visitors on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Hatfield Park is closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

How much is it to visit?

Parking is free.

There is no entrance fee to visit the Stable Yard.

Under 3s are free.

 

Entry to the Park and Gardens is £14 for an adult, and £7 for a child aged 3-15.

A Park and Gardens Family ticket is £36 for 2 Adults, and up to 4 Children aged 3-15.

 

Entry to Hatfield House, Park and Gardens is £24 for an adult, and £12 for a child aged 3-15.

A House, Park and Gardens Family ticket is £66 for 2 Adults, and up to 4 Children aged 3-15.

 

Old Palace tours are £7 per person, both adult and child.

Can I organise a group visit?

Group discounts apply to a group of more than 20.

What is a Season Ticket?

The Hatfield Park Season ticket allows unlimited visits across February Half Term, October Half Term, Park opening on selected weekends pre and post-season, as well as Garden visits (Wednesdays-Sundays) during our open season. For dates, please see above.

If you wished to visit Hatfield House, you can buy a House supplement ticket, on an as an when basis at £10 per person.

Some exclusions can apply on days of large events – we do our best to advertise these on our website when we can.

A Season ticket can be purchased online or on the day and is validated for the season on arrival at our Stable Yard Ticket Kiosk upon your first visit.

You will need to provide proof of identity upon entry. This can be a photograph.

Adult Season Ticket is £80.

Child Season Ticket is £40.

When is the Old Palace open to the public for tours?

The availability of the Old Palace is dependent upon any hospitality events that may be taking place.

How accessible is the park and house?

Disabled parking is available within the main Visitor car park accessed through George’s Gate.

Both male and female lavatories in the Stable Yard have a disabled toilet.

When the park is open, a golf buggy is available to help those who may need assistance from the car park to the Stable Yard and/or entrance to the House & Gardens.

There is a lift within the House and the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

Hatfield House does not have wheelchairs to hire.

Do you have toilet facilities?

Toilets are only available in the Stable Yard, there are no facilities beyond the gates or inside the House.

Both male and female lavatories in the Stable Yard have a disabled toilet.

Do you offer tickets for carers?

Carers can enter for free when accompanying the person they care for.

If booking online, do not include carers as they will be given complimentary admission upon entry.

Just show relevant documentation (e.g. a carers card) at the kiosk upon arrival.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are permitted in the Park only.

Dogs are not allowed in the formal Gardens, House or Old Palace.

Assistance dogs such as guide dogs, are allowed inside the buildings.

The Coach House Kitchen Restaurant is dog-friendly.

Can I cycle or bring a scooter?

Bikes and scooters are not permitted inside the Park.

Visitors are welcome to cycle to Hatfield Park and use the bike shed located in the Visitors Car Park to secure their bicycle whilst visiting.

Can I use any of my heritage memberships?

Hatfield House is a private residence and therefore is not part of the National Trust, English Heritage or Historic Houses.

Is photography allowed?

Photography is permitted for non-commercial and personal use.

Inside the House, there is no use of flash or video.

Tripods, lighting equipment and drones are not permitted.

Wedding photography is exclusive to couples getting married at Hatfield Park.

Can I have a picnic in the park?

Picnics are permitted in the Park, but we ask visitors to clean up after themselves and use the bins provided.

Picnics are not allowed within the formal gardens.

The use of BBQs and portable stoves – disposable or otherwise – are not permitted anywhere in the Park.

When are the shops in the Stable Yard open?

Retailers in the Stable Yard have their own opening times.
