Step back in time with our exclusive Champagne Carriage & House Tour. Get a feel for a by gone era and embark on a personal guided journey through Hatfield House and for the first time, Hatfield Park on a charming horse drawn carriage. Giving you over 400 years of Jacobean splendour at a remarkable, historic landmark, this is an experience not to be missed out on.
On the horse-drawn carriage you will travel from the historic Old Palace, around Stable Yard and through the woodland. Your journey will continue across the Broadwater into exclusive areas of the park, before enjoying a glass of Champagne in a private area of the riverside.
You will stop for lunch at the Coach House Kitchen before joining our House Guides for an enlightening tour of our Hatfield House itself. This exclusive experience will begin in the Marble Hall where you will see the famous Rainbow Portrait, you will then be taken through the state rooms of the house.
We run this experience in 2 sessions across the day, please just select your preferred time on the booking page.

The tour will proceed in all weathers unless a severe weather warning is announced. Umbrellas will be provided on the day. You will be contacted by our team with an alternative date if the tour has to be postponed due to severe weather.
Carriage hire are a local based company who provide traditional carriages and horses for special occasions, run by Liz Jarman who has over 35 years experience in the training and working of horses. Further details can be found via their website.
